Edulogika [full corporate entity name) “Edulogika”, “we,” “our,” or “us”) values your privacy. This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) describes how Edulogika collects, uses , discloses, and otherwise processes the personal information described in this Policy This Policy provides information about the privacy practices applicable to our site, www.edulogika.com, (“Site”) as well as the data we maintain on behalf of teachers, administrators, schools districts, counties, and other education institutions (“Educational Organizations”).

Your use of our Services (defined below), and any dispute over privacy, is subject to this Notice and our Terms of Use, available at Terms of Use.
Scope
Except as otherwise noted below, this Policy applies to the online personal information processing activities including, but not limited to:

visitors to our Site where this Policy is posted, including www.edulogika.com, and any other sites, mobile application(s), as well as any other products and services provided by us that display or include a link to this Policy (collectively, the “Services”);

Edulogika acts in different ways when processing personal data.

We may act as controllers of your personal information when you visit our Site or interact with us through other channels (for example, in-person events).

We act as a processor when our customer Educational Organizations (who are controllers of their student and employee personal data) use our products and Services and collect and process personal information in connection with our products, and other business activities. Edulogika provides Educational Organizations tools to collect, organize and analyze data about students and education professionals in their schools, and county and/or district management organizations. Educational Organizations collect information about students, parents and guardians, teachers and other individuals which is stored and processed by Edulogika on behalf of the Educational Organization.

In these situations, the Educational Organization rather than Edulogika decides how the information will be collected, processed and stored. Edulogika’ s privacy and data security practices regarding such information are governed by the agreement entered into between Edulogika and the Educational Organization and applicable law. Data Ownership: Edulogika acknowledges that all personally identifiable information of students, teachers, administrators, and educational staff remains the sole property of our customers. Edulogika does not claim ownership over such data and acts solely as a data processor on behalf of its customers.
For information about the data your Educational Organization collects, and the use of such information and any permissible disclosures to third parties, please contact your Educational Organization directly. This Policy does not cover companies that Edulogika does not own or control.
Personal Information Collected
As further described below, we collect personal information in three primary ways: directly from you when you voluntarily interact with our Site and Services—such as filling out forms, registering accounts, or communicating with us; automatically, through technologies like cookies, device identifiers, and analytics tools that track your usage and behavior; and from third parties, using external sources such as marketing platforms, data analytics providers, and social media integrations that share information based on your engagement with their services.
Personal Information Collected Directly from You
The personal information we may collect from you depends on how you use our Services or otherwise interact or engage with us, but generally includes:

Retention and Deletion of Records Maintained by Us
For Site visitors, and other individuals not affiliated with an Educational Organization customer: We retain your personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected or as otherwise necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, maintain appropriate business records, and enforce our agreements. If you would like to delete your personal information we may store in connection with our Site, you can do that at any time by contacting us info@edulogika.com See also Section 6 Your Privacy Choices. We may retain and use your personal information to the extent necessary to comply with our legal obligations.
Educational Organization Service Accounts
Our data retention is governed by our agreement with your Educational Institution. Schools and districts control retention periods and can request deletion at any time. If you have any questions regarding the deletion of the information Educational Institutes shares with Edulogika, please contact your Educational Institution directly.
Children’s Information
Our Services are not designed for users under the age of 18. If we discover that a child has provided us with personal information, we will delete such information from our systems. If you are a parent or guardian and believe we have collected your child’s information in violation of applicable law, please contact us as set forth in Section 13 Contact Us.
Educational Organization Information
Edulogika and the Services it provides to Educational Organizations comply with applicable provisions of law, including the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (“FERPA”) and equivalent state laws.
Student, Teacher and Other School Employee Information
Your Educational Organization uses Edulogika’s Services to assist with the administration of school-related activities and streamline how the organization collects, organizes, accesses and reports your information for educational purposes. The uses are specific to each Educational Organization and are governed by the agreement between Edulogika and your Educational Organization.
The data your Educational Organization chooses to store and process on Edulogika’s systems may include the following information:
(1) students and their parents and guardians: Demographic information including name, email address, and date of birth.

Student education records including your student’s grades, attendance and behavioral records
(2) teachers and administrators:

System usernames and passwords,

Name, email address

Credentials obtained and the granting institution.

Information about the individuals’ employment with the Educational Organization.
Your Educational Institution determines the information collected, maintained and processed using our Services. If you have any questions regarding the collection, storage and use of the information Educational Organization shares with Edulogika, please contact your Educational Institution directly.
Disclosure to Third Parties
The disclosure of personal information stored and processed on behalf of Educational Organizations (“Education Organization Personal Information”) is governed by the agreement between Edulogika and each Educational Organization.
Except for the ways outlined in this Policy and toprovide services to your Educational Organization, we will not disclose the information described in this Section 9 to any third party unless we believe that such action is necessary to:

Respond to a subpoena or similar investigative demand, a court order, or other request from a law enforcement or government agency; to establish or exercise our legal rights; to defend against legal claims; or as otherwise required by law;

In our belief, appropriate in connection with efforts to investigate, prevent, or take other action regarding illegal activity, suspected fraud or other wrongdoing; to protect and defend the rights, property or safety of our company, our users, our employees, or others; to comply with applicable law or cooperate with law enforcement; or to enforce our terms and conditions or other agreements or policies.

We have implemented safeguards that are intended to protect the personal information we collect from loss, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. The specific measures Edulogika takes to secure your information are defined by our agreement with your Educational Organization. Any access to and use of such linked websites is not governed by this Notice, but instead is governed by the privacy notices of those third-party websites.
